Daycare and school
Your childs' well-being is your responsibility
The Resettlement Team will contact the relevant local school and/or daycare if you come with children.
It is important for the children to quickly settle into their daily routines. However, it can be challenging to secure a spot in a daycare, and some waiting time should be expected.
As a parent you are expected to have a dialogue with the staff at school and at the daycare. Be an active parent who reads weekly plans, attend parent meetings, and participate in events when they are organized. The school can arrange for an interpreter if you need one.
There is a cost associated with having your child in daycare. You can apply the municipality for financial support (reduced parental fees). Your Program Advisor will assist you with this.
